You may be
coming to Puivert with a specific purpose in

or walking groups.

the area offers many more opportunities with something to please all
family members. The local attractions

would never claim to be a skiing resort. A popular activity is
rafting
or kayaking on the Aude which is
possible from various places
and
suitable from age 6 upwards depending on location. Generally the higher
up the valley the whiter the water.
Natural
phenonema are everywhere.
The Gorge De Galamus is not to
be
missed by anyone. Cycling through it is amazing. The Grotte Mas D'Azil,
the Riviere Souterrain De Labouiche. The list is endless. I could not
possibly include them all here but from the links page it is possible
to
visit sites dedicated to the purpose.
This is
also an area to relax and enjoy family fun. Quiet lakes with
sandy beaches, The Safari Park at Sigean. The Parc De Pre Histoire at
Tarascon and many other ways to keep the children happy..
You can
visit a local market, both Mirepoix and Esperaza have excellent
markets, and if you are coming to look for property, though this is no
longer cheap and in plentiful supply there is always movement in the
